No matter how you face the incoming year, one truth should encourage all of God’s People: We worship a God of New Beginnings. If you have spent any time reading the Bible you should notice that it is filled with men and women who we would categorize as failing miserably in life, and yet experienced the renewing power of God. This morning I want to look at one individual from the Bible, a life that began in opposition to God, but that clearly demonstrates God’s love and ability to rescue us from ourselves.
