It is not a bad thing to think on how we have lived our lives in the past, knowing that death is coming sometime in the future. It can be a great motivator for us to get things done, improve our way of living, etc. However, from the biblical perspective death is not the final state, but the catalyst that ignites our transition into our eternal state of being. And this truth was first clearly revealed through God’s promise to Abraham and Sarah.
